This policy explains what information Vocyx collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Vocyx is a voice-first AI articulation trainer, so it necessarily processes recordings of your voice — this document is clear about how.

01 Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and login credentials, handled through our authentication provider.
  • Voice recordings — the audio you record while completing drills and live conversations.
  • Derived speech data — transcripts, filler rate, pace, pauses, clarity and other metrics computed from your recordings.
  • Usage and settings — your sessions, scores, streaks, goals, timezone, and business profile.
  • Device and log data — browser type, IP address, and diagnostic information needed to run and secure the service.

02 Voice Recordings and AI Processing

To give you feedback, your audio is sent to our AI processing providers (including Google Gemini) to transcribe your speech and analyze how you spoke. We compute objective metrics directly from the transcript and pair them with AI-judged scores.

Recordings are stored so you can replay past sessions and track progress. You can delete a recording at any time, and we run scheduled deletion of older audio.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, personalize, and improve the training experience.
  • Generate your feedback, scores, streaks, and progress over time.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
  • Communicate with you about your account and important updates.

04 How We Share Information

We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf — including AI transcription and analysis, cloud storage, and authentication — under confidentiality obligations and only as needed to run the service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

05 Data Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Voice recordings are retained for a limited period and can be deleted by you at any time. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law.

06 Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Within the app you can review and delete your recordings, update your settings, and close your account.

07 Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

08 Children's Privacy

Vocyx is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

09 International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one you live in, where data protection laws may differ. We take steps to ensure your information receives an appropriate level of protection.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and, where appropriate, notify you.
